Welcome to BJD idea

This group's aim and purpose is to gather the most inspiring BJD photos into one gallery. What we are looking for are photos that show an idea, good composition, proper lighting and imply mood -and above all: inspire us.

We only accept one photo from the same setting, so choose your best one. We do not accept "pretty doll" photos, no matter how good quality or nice they may be. We do have a portrait folder, but it should also follow the guidelines and be just a little more interesting than a regular portrait.

Each photo will be individually looked at and will need both of our approval.

We pay attention to details. Just one little thing that is off (such as focus on a doll's chest instead of the face) can cause us to deny a photo. However,  our guidelines are not ironclad and may be broken as a means of conveying something to the viewer. The most important thing is for the photo to have impact and inspire others.

If we did not accept your photo, it does not mean that it wasn't a nice photo, it just means it didn't pass our criteria. If you have questions as to why something was or was not accepted, please feel free to either ask in the submission form or note us.

Even good doll photos will get denied if there's nothing happening in them. As in: the doll is just standing/sitting there and nothing around them indicates why.
